Experience

Two decades of systems commercial teams still run on.

LTF Consulting is led by Leo Flyamer, a senior solutions architect with 20+ years designing, building, and supporting sales operations applications, data warehouses, ETL, and reporting for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Leo holds a BS in Computer Information Science from Temple University.

The engagements below are described without client names. Each one is work Leo designed, built, or delivered as part of the team.

Sales operations

Applications the commercial operations team administers day to day, and the data they depend on.

Commercial-stage biopharma

Territory alignment and HCP targeting

Applications that let the commercial operations team maintain territory alignments and build and publish HCP target lists themselves, without waiting on a vendor cycle for every change.

Specialty and generics pharma · long-standing engagement

Roster, alignment, and physician profiling

A family of in-house applications the field and home office rely on: roster management, territory alignment, physician profiling tied to each territory, and companion tools that support field operations. Built, extended, and supported over many years as the business changed around them.

Growing pharma company with a large field force

Field coaching application

A web application managers use in the field to schedule coaching sessions, score against agreed prompts, and route each review through to representative sign-off. Coaching history stays in one place, so managers see progress over time and HR has a complete record instead of a paper trail.

Emerging pharma company ahead of launch

Launch-ready sales operations warehouse

A SQL Server warehouse stood up before launch to take in feeds from many outside vendors and internal systems, match every record to a single master, and refresh automatically each day. Power BI dashboards cover orders, warehouse shipments, and progress to sales goals, and new vendor feeds are onboarded as the portfolio grows.

Data platforms and reporting

Warehouses that take in many sources and settle on one record, and the reporting built on them.

Specialty pharma company

Executive dashboards in place of a weekly manual pack

Sales, finance, supply chain, quality, and regulatory data brought into one reporting database that refreshes daily. Each dashboard was storyboarded with its owners before it was built: a landing view of headline measures, then one dashboard per business unit covering prescriptions, sales by territory and prescriber, inventory, and gross-to-net against forecast. Access is controlled by role.

  • Tableau

Large pharmaceutical research company

Prescriber data joined to field activity

Prescriber-level prescription data cross-referenced with sales force call records in a single reporting mart, so marketing and sales planning work from the same picture of who is prescribing and who is being called on.

  • SQL Server

Global biopharma

Multichannel HCP engagement warehouse

Engagement data arriving from many marketing vendors and channels in different formats, loaded automatically, normalized against master records, and hosted in the cloud. Marketing reviews campaign and tactic performance through dashboards and a self-service reporting portal, and uses actual engagement to refine segmentation.

Global pharma manufacturer

Manufacturing value-stream dashboards

Batch yield, cycle time, asset utilization, and inventory time tracked by manufacturing stage, drawn from the ERP system, with a .NET administration screen for thresholds and figures the ERP does not hold. Charts flag values outside target, drill through to the underlying records, and export to Excel.

Contracting, claims, and supply chain

Systems where an error costs money or creates a compliance exposure.

Major pharmaceutical manufacturer

Rebate claims validation

An application that imports utilization submissions from contracted organizations and checks them against configurable rules: duplicate claims, products not on contract, invalid product codes, and quantities out of pattern. Reviewers accept, override, or reject each flagged line, and mapping templates handle each submitter's format. Delivered as a working first release, then extended in planned follow-on releases.

Pharmaceutical contracting team

Contract price-adjustment workflow

Field-initiated price and rebate change requests routed through a configurable approval chain, with proxy approvers and escalation. A what-if view shows the margin effect of a change across every contract the product sits on, guardrails protect government pricing thresholds, and the full approval history is kept for audit and SOX reporting.

Generics manufacturer

Shipment exception and serialization tracking

One system for logging shipment exceptions and warehouse damage, capturing the serial numbers involved, assigning each issue to the accountable group, and tracking it to resolution. It detects transmission errors from ERP and shipping feeds, flags problem lots, generates the correspondence required for controlled substances, and supports DSCSA traceability. Built-in reporting shows recurring problems by product and carrier.

Large pharmaceutical research company

Order, fulfillment, and warehouse integration

Real-time data exchange between order management, fulfillment and accounting, and warehouse management systems that ran on very different platforms. The work covered architecture, vendor selection, a pilot, production rollout, and hands-on training so the client's own team could run it afterward.

Analytics and forecasting

Statistical and machine-learning work on commercial data, built on a clean data foundation.

Mid-sized biopharma

Field-force effectiveness analytics

Analysis of historical call activity against prescribing to find which sequences of rep interactions are most associated with new prescriptions, turned into next-best-action guidance for each provider. A companion model identifies providers unlikely to prescribe over several time horizons, so territory planning and call routing can redirect effort.

Mid-sized biopharma

Marketing mix across a brand portfolio

Spend, media delivery, CRM call and email, conference and speaker program, and prescription data placed on a single week-by-week timeline with comparable costs. A statistical marketing mix model for the high-volume brand, and prescriber-level reach analysis for smaller brands where volume could not support a model, with every recommendation traceable to a recorded output.

Mid-sized pharma company

Sales forecasting

A forecasting approach that tests traditional methods against machine-learning models and keeps the most accurate for each product. It picked up trend and seasonality that earlier methods missed, giving supply chain and sales a longer, steadier planning horizon.

Collaboration and database platforms

Keeping the platforms underneath the applications secure, stable, and supportable.

Multinational specialty biopharma

SharePoint permissions overhaul

An audit of permissions at every level of a sprawling SharePoint environment after sensitive content was found to be reachable by the wrong users, followed by remediation, documented policies, ongoing permission monitoring, and training for site owners.

  • SharePoint

Large international pharma company

Workflow application rescue

An in-house SharePoint application using Nintex workflows was stalling during rollout. The workflow design was simplified, server resource problems were resolved, and monitoring was added so the rollout could proceed.

SQL Server consolidation

An assessment of a fast-growing SQL Server estate — database activity, backup coverage, and server usage — followed by retiring unused databases, consolidating servers, closing maintenance gaps, and monitoring that alerts on failed jobs, missed backups, and disk pressure.

  • SQL Server

Mid-sized company

Remote database support

Ongoing SQL Server administration with daily monitoring in place of a full-time in-house DBA, including closing backup and recovery gaps found in the initial assessment and documenting the environment for faster response.

  • SQL Server

Beyond life sciences

The same approach applied where the numbers have to be trusted in other industries.

Apparel manufacturer after a merger

Bookings and sales dashboards

Data pulled from two ERP systems into Power BI dashboards that show invoiced sales against goal and bookings against the prior year by product line and sales channel, replacing reports compiled by hand during the integration.

  • Power BI

Metropolitan university

Campus access management application

A standalone application, integrated with the existing security system, that lets security staff grant or restrict access to locations by person or by place, set effective dates, and see a full audit trail of every change.
